John 13:34, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”

The love of God for man surpasses our human understanding. He loves us so much and has such wonderful plans for us. In as much as Christ has vividly displayed his love for us, by dying on the cross; he expects us to do to the same.

The love of God should be seen in all that we do. God is love, it his nature to love and be good. Thus, it is of dire need and utmost importance that we show forth His love for others as well.

Jesus, in scriptures, placed much emphasis on loving other people around us.  When we love others, as God loves us, it shows the world that we are his true disciples. We should be accepting of one another, build up each other in our most holy faith, and show the love of God to all men.

John 15:14 says, “You are my friends if you do whatever I command you.

Jesus, while on earth gave us a command; to love each other as he has loved us. We are all called to be lovers of Christ, as well as others around us. If Christ could display his love for us all, we should be willing to do the same.

By displaying our love for others, we are showing the love of Christ in us, for God is love.

Prayer; Dear Jesus, help me to love others as You love them.
