“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.” ~ Psalm 37:7
In the book of Ecclesiastes, we see that there is a time for everything. When we study this deeply, we come to understand that the process between planting and reaping the harvest is the waiting period.
During this season, all you can do is water and care for your seeds while patiently waiting for them to bear fruit.
Similarly, when a child is born, you must wait for them to grow—first to crawl, then walk, and eventually run. No matter how much you wish for them to reach these milestones faster, you must wait.
In the same way, at various points in our lives, we experience waiting seasons.
For some, it’s waiting on God for a life partner.
For others, it’s a dream job.
For some, it’s the blessing of children.
Whatever it is you are waiting for, it is important to rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. For He works all things out perfectly in His own time.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart, and wait for the Lord.” — Psalm 27:14
Waiting can be difficult, especially when we begin to compare our progress with the standards of the world. But we are encouraged to trust in God’s perfect timing.
Remember, His thoughts for you are of good and not of evil (Jeremiah 29:11).
So no matter what society says or how the enemy tries to make you feel, your waiting is not in vain.
There is a glory that awaits you.
“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.” ~Hebrews 10:36
Prayer: Lord, help me be patient in my waiting season and to trust in your plans and purpose for my life.
