GLORY IN THE WAITING

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”~ Romans 8:18

Waiting on God can be difficult at times, but there is glory in the process. God refines, strengthens, and prepares us in seasons of waiting so that His glory is revealed in and through us.

The process of waiting can be hard—it can feel lonely and even make us question the presence of God. But it is important to remember that this season is only for a while. Though it may tarry, it will surely come (Habakkuk 2:3).

The best part is- when God finally answers, He does it in a way that brings glory to Himself.

Take Sarah, for example. Through her testimony—the birth of Isaac—people came to know and believe that Abraham and Sarah truly served the one true God. The impossible became possible, and all glory had to be given to Him. The birth of a child at such an old age was a testimony worthy of celebration.

Hannah’s story is another powerful example. After years of waiting and crying at Shiloh, God finally showed up for her and blessed her with a son, Samuel, who grew to serve Him faithfully.

When God shows up for us, He does it with glory—in a way that silences the voices of the enemy.

It pays to trust Him.

Prayer: Lord, I ask that you please glorify yourself in my life through my waiting season.
