“For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”~ Deuteronomy 20:4
Scripture consistently reminds us of God’s faithfulness in granting victory.
A striking example is the story of the Israelites. Time and again, God stepped in to deliver them—freeing them from Pharaoh’s grip and giving them victory despite repeated attempts to recapture them into slavery. He proved Himself as the One who fights for His people.
No wonder the Bible says:
“Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” – 2 Chronicles 20:15
This verse reassures us that no matter the intensity or depth of the battles we face, we are never alone.
There is a God who fights for us—a faithful Defender who never loses a war.
This is why it’s so important to constantly remind ourselves of our identity in Christ.
When we know who we are in Him, we begin to walk boldly in our spiritual realities.
One of those realities is this: we have a God who defends us and gives us victory.
So, do not fear.
Don’t be discouraged by what the enemy throws your way.
You are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus.
The One who lives in you is greater than anything or anyone in the world—greater than the principalities and powers that may rise against you.
Be conscious of this truth.
Walk in it confidently, knowing that you will not lose the battles ahead.
As we go further on this topic, we’ll look at several heroes of the Bible—men and women who knew the power at work within them and experienced the faithfulness of God firsthand in granting them victory.
Prayer: Lord, please help me walk in the reality of the victory I have in You.
