SPEAKING FORTH YOUR BLESSINGS

“A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.” -Proverbs 15:4

Many times, consciously or unconsciously, we tend to speak words over ourselves that are more like curses rather than just words. The sad reality is that many believers do this unknowingly, especially during difficult situations or circumstances.

But here’s a kind reminder: there is life in our tongues. The memory verse for today says, “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life” (Proverbs 15:4).

A tree of life is fruitful—it bears good and healthy fruit. However, perverseness in the tongue breaks its spirit. In other words, corruption defiles it. When a tree of life is corrupted, what can be expected are bad and rotten fruits.

That is the power of our tongues. Through our words, we can shape our lives and the lives of our families.
Through our words, we can literally call forth blessings and open doors. However, if we misuse our words, we should also be prepared for the consequences that follow.

Make use of your words to call forth your blessings.
Speak life over yourself:

“I am blessed.”

“I am highly favored.”

“I am loved by God.”

“Men work in my favor.”

“I am made whole from every illness.”

“I succeed in all that I lay my hands upon.”

“No one takes what is mine, for the Lord fights for me.”

“I will get the job.”

Practice positive affirmations regularly until you begin to see the reality of those words manifest in your life.

Accept and call forth the life in your tongue into every aspect of your life that is currently lacking it.

Prayer: I speak forth my blessings, I call forth every promise of the Lord and I walk in the reality of them.
