“And those who know your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord have not forsaken those who seek You.” ~ Psalm 9:10
In the waiting season, it is very easy to lose sight of what God wants to do in our lives, especially when it feels like the season has lasted for so long.
Take Sarah as an example—she had reached a point where she no longer hoped or waited for a child. This explains her laughter in Genesis 18:10-15.
At that moment, Abraham received a visitation from God, and a prophecy was given concerning Isaac—the child they were going to be blessed with. But Sarah, overhearing the prophecy, laughed.
Why? Because it seemed impossible.
In her opinion, she had waited for so long, she was old, and it was no longer a possibility for her.
But as the story progresses, we see that God did bless her with a son—Isaac—proving to her that nothing is impossible for Him.
Are you tired of your waiting season?
Are you on the verge of giving up because you feel time has passed and it’s too late?
Well, it is never too late for God. In fact, His timing—whenever it may be—is perfect.
Even better, when God decides to intervene, He does so with His glory wrapped all over it, making it evident that indeed it pays to serve Him.
So, be encouraged, dear brothers and sisters in Christ, for the Lord has not forgotten you.
He will never leave you nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6)
Prayer: Lord, please help me to trust in you in my waiting season. Help me to hold on to your promises and stand firm in you.
