“For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your truth”- Isaiah 38:18
Truly, only the living can praise God. Only the living can complain. Only the living can engage in the daily activities of life. But it all comes to an end when we die. Our time on earth is shorter than we often realize. So, how are you spending the time you’ve been given?
The gift of life itself is a blessing we should never take for granted. The very ability to ponder, worry, think, or act is because you are alive. This precious gift of life that you have is one that many who are no longer here desperately wish they could regain. Therefore, use this gift wisely. Spend your life on what truly matters—pursuing Kingdom mandates and fulfilling divine assignments.
Your Heavenly Father, who has graciously given you the gift of life, has done so for a reason. The ultimate purpose of every believer is clear: to know God and make Him known (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19–20). Are you living out this purpose, brethren? Allow God to direct your life toward His Kingdom agenda and let Him use your days for His glory.
Make it a daily habit to thank God for the gift of life. Wake up each day with a heart full of gratitude. “Oh, thank You, Jesus, for the gift of life!”
Remember, as long as there is life, there is hope. The situation that seems unchangeable can turn around in an instant. Don’t lose hope, and don’t give up. Trust in the One who gave you this precious gift, for He has great plans for your life.
Prayer Point: Dear Jesus, thank you for the gift of life that you have freely bestowed upon us. Help us to live each and every day of our lives with the consciousness that it is a precious gift that you’ve given to us.
