THE GLORY OF GOD IN HIS WORD

“And the word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father, full of grace and truth.” ~ John 1 vs 14.

The bible is a book inspired by the Holy Spirit, and so it is no surprise that we see the glory of God through his word.

In various books, chapters and verses, we are reminded of how glorious and powerful our maker is. For the words in his book are not just plain words but they are of Life and Spirit.

We can take Moses for example; in the book of Exodus 34 vs 29, we see how transformed he became after spending 40 days in the presence of the lord. During his period of 40 days, he gained knowledge of the words of God. His encounter radiated all over him, causing his face to shine as he came out to address the Israelites.

We see the aftermath of this period as all he did was to share with the Israelites; Laws as instructed by God.

The words he spoke in that moment were not of his own intellect, but were the words of God through him.

Whenever we yield ourselves to God, it is expected that we gain words from God. For it is through his word, that he communicates to us, and gives us directions and leadings that will in turn cause us to do his will. Hence bringing glory to his name.

There is glory in the words of God, for his words are life and spirit.

Prayer: Father, please speak to me. Give me a word for this season, that I may bring glory to Your name.
