“Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.”– Psalms 25:5

“Hope” – what a powerful word it is in our Christian journey. It embodies one’s confident expectation for things yet to come. The entirety of our Christian path is constructed upon our faith in the completed works of Christ. Though we may not have been present at Jesus’ resurrection, we firmly believe that He has risen.

Our entire Christian journey relies on our steadfast hope in Christ. Among all the Biblical figures who placed their hope in God, not a single one was disappointed. As God promised, it came to pass, and they were abundantly blessed. Indeed, it is rewarding to anchor one’s hope in Christ.

To maintain our hope in God, we must saturate our minds with His words. The Word of God should dwell in our hearts as we consistently meditate on it and live it out. Through communion with God, our hope in Him continues to flourish.

God is worthy of our trust, beloved. We must keep our gaze fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). We can place our hope in Him without reservation or fear, for He is our shield and refuge. We can rely on God’s word, for it will never falter.

Choosing to have hope in God is a conscious decision we must make. It is crucial that we remain resolute in our determination to place our hope in God above all else. Jesus should always be our ultimate hope, for He is truly the best there is. All other things may fail, but God endures forever.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for the hope that we have in You. Help us to never lose sight of You; that You remain as our hope and light. Amen.
