WISDOM OF GOD- DANIEL AS A CASE STUDY

That night the secret was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven. He said, “Praise the name of God forever and ever, for he has all wisdom and power” -Daniel 2:19-20

Daniel was a powerful man of God who applied the wisdom of God. He was wise not for himself alone but for many others around him. Daniel 2 records the story of Daniel interpreting the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar. While many around could not interpret it, Daniel did, and not from the wisdom of his flesh but of God. He applied the wisdom of God, which was at work in him, and gave glory to God.

The wisdom of God that we possess, by the Spirit of God that works in us, is not for our own sake alone. Being wise is not just for our benefit but for the benefit of others. We are implored to help as many people as possible. You really do not know how your application of wisdom in a matter could change the life of another forever! Even in our place of work and daily activities, we have these gifts of God not to keep but to use in our daily activities. Your gift of wisdom can be used even in your place of work.

However, using the wisdom of God should be done with humility. Never lose sight of the fact that the wisdom you have is from God. The wisdom of God belongs to God. While we have received God’s wisdom, we are to apply it with great love and humility in our hearts. Christ, on earth, displayed utmost love and humility. We, His children, are implored to do the same. The wisdom of God is ours to bear! However, it must be borne with love.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, we ask for the strength to apply your wisdom with love. May we never become prideful, but remain humble as you would have us be.
