“Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.” ~ Joshua 21: 43-45
Once again, we turn our attention to the Israelites—an undeniable example of God’s faithfulness in granting victory. From our anchor scripture, we see clear evidence that God never fails in His promises.
He has declared in His Word:
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
— Luke 10:19 (KJV)
We can hold firmly to this truth, knowing that God has a proven track record of keeping His word. He is faithful—always.
This is to encourage anyone reading this today: it doesn’t matter what the enemy has thrown your way, or how fierce the battles around you may seem. What truly matters is this—you have the backing of a faithful God who is committed to giving His children victory.
We serve a God who is intentional about giving us dominion and triumph over everything on earth—except man. One powerful example of this can be seen in Joshua 10:12–14:
“On the day the Lord gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel: ‘Sun, stand still over Gibeon, and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.’ So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies… There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the Lord listened to a human being. Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel!”
The sun and moon obeyed a man—a man just like you —because God had granted him victory. If Joshua could walk in such power and authority, then by God’s grace, you can too.
All it takes is a life that is fully yielded and faithful to God. He is still fighting for His own, and His faithfulness in victory remains unshaken.
Prayer: Lord, help me live a life faithfully dedicated to you.
