HOW TO REMAIN STEADFAST IN A PLACE OF PRAYER (IV)

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.”- Galatians 6:2-3

We can be tempted to isolate ourselves without interacting with other believers. However, we were not designed to function in isolation; that is not God’s will for us. The truth is that we all need one another. No man is truly an island.

It is of utmost importance that we cultivate the habit of fellowshipping with other believers around us and what better way to do this than to pray with them?

Sometimes, all we need is a word of encouragement from another to keep us going in the place of prayer. At times when you lack the drive to pray, you may just need to pray with someone else. It is very important that we engage in prayers with other persons who share our faith. You may be surprised at how stirred up you become to pray!

Acts 1 & 2 records that the believers prayed with one another, and mighty things occurred—they strengthened and edified one another. What a beautiful thing it is! It could be a prayer partner, a prayer group, or a team of some sort.

The key point is that we all find people with whom we take time to pray. We should not forsake the act of praying with others, as it does us much more good than we could possibly imagine. While prayer is a sacred act, the word of God makes us understand that it is an activity we can and should carry out with others as well. Beloved, don’t get tired of praying. Pray alone, pray with others. At all times, ensure that you are praying.

Prayer Point: Dear Jesus, help us to commune with other believers around and make power available by praying together. Amen.
