“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”~ Collosians 3:23-24

Yesterday, we spoke about using our gifts for the glory of God, but there is also the aspect of knowing the gifts that we carry inside us. Many of us may have questions in our hearts: “How do I know my gifts?” “What are my gifts?”
So today, we will dive into how we can discover our gifts.

First and foremost, we need to understand that there is only one source of our gifts, and that is God Himself. Therefore, the first step to discovering your gifts is to be connected to Him, the one who gives them in the first place.
In Him, there is clarity; in Him, there is insight; in Him, our gifts are revealed.

Another way to identify your gifts is by recognising the things that you are naturally good at.
As we mentioned yesterday, the gifts we have were given to us from the moment we were created. Just as the scripture says in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

This helps us understand that even before we are born, God already has a plan for us and has installed in us what we need to fulfil that plan and bring glory to Him.
Just as Jeremiah was already given the gift of prophecy, many of us have already been given the gifts we will operate in.
We simply need to be more sensitive and take note of the gifts and areas where we find ourselves naturally excelling.

Lastly, God is the only one who can reveal these things to us. We can ask Him for clarity whenever we need it and seek His face to know the gifts He has blessed us with.

Prayer: Lord, reveal my gifts to me. Help me know my gifts, that I may bring glory to your name.
