I CAN DO ALL THINGS

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”~ Philippians 4 vs 13.

Doing life with Christ as your Lord and not just your Savior will definitely come with instructions.

If you check the dictionary definition of “Lord”, it simply refers to a person who has control or authority over others. I’m sure that for some of us, the moment we read the words “control” and “authority”, we suddenly felt uneasy. But the truth is, accepting Christ was not just for salvation but also to have Him as the leader of our lives—the best decision you can ever make.

Especially considering that He is the only one who knows the beginning and the end, who has all the answers, and who has the best plans for you and me.

Abraham in the Bible is a perfect example of a man who made God his Lord. With that level of submission came instructions. Many times, those instructions may seem beyond your capacity or ability.

But today’s scripture says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

That is, it is not by your own strength, but by the strength that Christ gives you.

Many times, there may be assignments at your workplace, in church, or within your family where God needs you to represent Him and function in some capacity. There is always a tendency to want to measure your own strength, but by strength shall no man prevail.

If you have been given an assignment by Him, don’t forget to go back to Him for the grace and strength to carry it out. For He alone is your strength and help.

Prayer: Lord, help me to stop relying on my own strength but to rely on yours at all times!
