Ephesians 2:8-9 – “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

We all have our most priced possessions, either purchased or given as a gift. It could be that luxury dress, designer bag, or gold jewelry. The ones we hold dear to heart, kept in a special part of the closet, and brought to sight only on special occasions.

We all have possessions as such. But beyond those expensive possessions is something much more greater- the gift of salvation.

This is the world’s most expensive gift, given to you and I at no cost.

An innocent man died so we all could gain access to the throne of grace. He bore the punishment for the sins of those who lived before us and those yet to come, took it upon Himself that we may gain freedom from the wages of sin- death.
This is a gift so costly, yet made available to us through faith alone.

All we have to do is believe, and we are saved.

Not by our works, not by the things we do, our acts of service, or the money we donate to the house of God.
Not by any of these, but simply by having faith in the finished works of Christ.

That He came, died, and resurrected for us.

The most priceless gift has been given to us free of charge, and that is something to be truly grateful for.

More reason why we ought to share this good news, this priceless gift to as many souls as we can. For by faith, they too can be saved.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the gift of salvation, that by faith I have been saved.
