“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…” ~ Hebrews 12:2

Beyond the celebrations, the festivities, the feasting, and the parties. It is important we are conscious of the reason for the season. The Christmas period is not just one filled with lots of festivities because it’s the end of the year.

Rather, it’s also a time of reflection on the One whom we are celebrating.

Jesus is the reason for the season.

We celebrate Him who is the author and the finisher of our faith. For no man could see the Father, no man could know the Father, nor have access to eternal life.

But the birth and the death of Jesus absolutely changed the narrative.

For through Jesus we now have access to eternal life, and not just that, but even to the Father.

We can come to know God through Jesus.

We can tap into our inheritances in spiritual places through Jesus. We have victory over death and sin; we have gained life and life eternal through Jesus.

Hence, He is the reason for the season.

The gift of salvation that has been given to us is a priceless one; one that can never be matched, bought, or replaced.
