“Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”-Luke 8:48
God’s great plan for all has always been good, which explains why even in the crucifixion of His Son, Jesus Christ, provision was made for healing. For anyone who has faith and believes in Him, healing from infirmities of the flesh is attainable.
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53 vs 5”
Christ, during His time on earth, had compassion for the sick, and that’s why He healed many who were suffering. In Luke 8:43-48, we encounter the story of the woman with the issue of blood: “A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding, and she could find no cure. Approaching Jesus from behind, she touched the fringe of His robe. Instantly, the bleeding stopped. ‘Who touched me?’ Jesus asked. Everyone denied it, but Peter said, ‘Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you.’ Jesus insisted, ‘Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.’ When the woman realized she could not stay hidden, she began to tremble and fell to her knees in front of him. The entire crowd heard her explain why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed. ‘Daughter,’ he said to her, ‘your faith has made you well. Go in peace.'”
Even after Jesus left the earth, His love for us led Him to provide for our healing. His stripes serve as the currency in the realm of the spirit, amounting to our healing.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for Your healing power that works in and through us.
