THE RESULTS OF FAITH

1 Peter 1:8-9 – “Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.”

Above all else, there is one absolute result of faith—the gift of salvation. The greatest result and gift of all.

However, there are many other blessings that faith produces, and we will explore a few as seen in Scripture.

1. The Gift of Healing
As seen in the story of the woman with the issue of blood, her faith made her well, healing her of the infirmity she had carried for 12 years.

Mark 5:34 – “And He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.’”

Through us, people can be partakers of the healing power of Christ. All we need to do is have faith in the power at work in us.

2. Peace and Joy
Through faith, we receive peace and joy. Faith fills us with the peace of God, a peace beyond human understanding. It also blesses our hearts with true joy, of which we can dispense this peace and joy to individuals around us.

Romans 5:1 – “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

3. Righteousness through Faith
Through faith in Christ Jesus, we are made righteous. Our righteousness through the gift of salvation is not one that we worked for. We simply came into it  by faith and by faith in the finished works of Christ, His righteousness is counted as our righteousness.

Romans 4:20-22 – “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore ‘it was accounted to him for righteousness.’”

The results of faith is endless and the few listed above, serve as a reminder of the importance of faith in our Christian journey. As believers, it should be our earnest prayer and heart’s desire that our faith is strengthened at all times—especially through trials and tribulations.

Prayer: Lord, please help my faith. Rid me of unbelief and strengthen my faith in you Lord- all to your glory.
